This policy explains how Meghna Grill uses personal information. Meghna Grill, 113 Boundary Road, St John’s Wood, London NW8 0RG, is run by Spicy Saga Limited, which is responsible for your information (“we”, “us”).
What we collect
- Contact details you give us when you email, call, enquire about events or catering, or apply for a job: for example your name, email address, phone number and message.
- Booking details when you reserve a table. Bookings are handled by TheFork, which has its own privacy policy.
- Order details when you order online. Direct orders are handled by Toast, and delivery orders by Uber Eats, Deliveroo or Just Eat, each under its own privacy policy.
- Reviews you post publicly about us on Google. We read them and reply to them through our Google Business Profile.
- Basic website data such as cookies and anonymous visit statistics, used to keep the site working and understand how it is used.
How we use it
We use your information only to reply to you, manage your booking or order, respond to reviews, handle job applications and run our restaurant. Our legal bases are performing a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running the business, and your consent where we ask for it. We do not sell your personal information, and we only send marketing to people who have agreed to receive it.
Google Business Profile tools
We use our own small tool, “Meghna Grill automation”, which connects to the Google Business Profile API for our restaurant listing only. It reads reviews left on our listing so we can draft replies, and it publishes replies and posts only after we approve them. Data obtained through Google APIs is used only for managing our own listing. It is not sold, shared with others or used for advertising, and our use follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires (for example, accounting records).
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email us at info@meghnagrill.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
